Leree & Peter

Leree and Pete got married on a gorgeous winter day,  at the most gorgeous little hidden church, St Johns at Mundoolan. It’s tucked back in back from the road and surrounded by trees. I don’t think you could find a sweeter place to be married if you tried! Leree had her three little nieces for flower girls and Pete had his three little nephews for page boys – nice symmetry huh? The girls got ready at Mt Tamborine, and while it was a chilly start the day was warm and blue skies abounded. Leree just shines doesn’t she? After a beautiful ceremony we made our way to Albert River Winery for the reception. I loved the games lawn. Being dressed in their best, playing some croquet and drinks in hand isn’t a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Thanks Leree and Pete for sharing your wedding day with me, it was a stunning day.

Family Fun

It was lovely to finally photograph the Bartleet Family! We’ve been hoping to have a photo session for awhile now and it finally came to fruition. One of Trish’s best friends is a photographer but lucky for me she lives in South Africa! So it was my turn to their photos! It was a great afternoon, gorgeous weather and the kids had a blast playing at the creek.

Sneak Peek. Sam & Evan’s Wedding Day.

I’ve been the naughtiest blogger in the world (again).

There are sooooo many photos that I want to share at the moment but I’ve been doing other things, like taking photos, editing photos and trying to streamline and simplify my life so that I’m not rushing around like a complete crazy woman. So the blog ball got dropped and know the work involved to get back up to date means it gets neglected even more – it’s a vicious cycle!

Now I’m planning on coming back and doing a  bigger share for Sam and Evan’s wedding day. But for the minute, while I try to catch up I’m going to share just one image from their day. Their day didn’t go to plan due to weather BUT …Sam wasn’t bothered, she smiled all day – because really at the end of the day the rain doesn’t make a difference to your happiness and joy in marring the person you love.

I just love this image of Sam and Evan. You can see the rain and you can see that nothing else matters to them but that they are together. Sigh.

wow…now that must be one of their favourites – and should be hung on their walls forever. Beautiful xx

The rain gives an amazing texture to this image…love it!

Weekend at the Beach

A few weeks ago we spent the weekend at the beach. It was lovely. I don’t often get to photograph my girls just playing and having fun. But I’m always glad when I do.

Here’s a few shots from that weekend.

Surfers doing their thing.
Being chased by wavesIt was a stunning sunset.Home time.

Thank you Kim – that is the lovely thing to say!

Oh Shelia – I ADORE your work. You just bring so much light and emotion into your work – as Janet said – you feel as though you are right there experiencing it.

Beautiful Sheila. I love the sunset shots.

Sheila these are just beautiful, i can almost imagine the surf coming in & the sun going down on my face… <3

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Just love the light of these, and that tiny little figure in the foreground in the last shot. Looks like a wonderful weekend!

Wowser, it has been such a long time since I have seen your girls, and what incredible young ladies they are growing into Sheila. These are just beautiful.

Oh, my favourite time of the day. And you have captured the softness so perfectly!

Great images and gorgeous light!

Oh, how I wish I could be at the beach, your girls look like they are having so much fun!

The Parkers (Boonah Portrait Photographer)

I had the pleasure of photographing the Parker family some weeks back. It really was a pleasure because, you see Mrs Parker is the BEST kindy teacher in the world and we were lucky enough to have Mrs Parker teach Ava our littlest kiddo. It was lovely for me to be able to capture her family. We had to reschedule a number of times due to the weather but third time lucky and the weather was outstanding! They brought along their pooch too – I know kids and pets are supposed to be a bad combo – but I really think the kids and pets are getting a bad rap. Being a dog lover I can understand people wanting to include their family pets in photos and I love it when the pooches get to come too!
