Kelly & Robert’s Boonah Wedding

As happens at this time of the year all blogging seems to go out the window! Whilst the silly season is well and truly upon us I just wanted to share a few images from Kelly and Robert’s gorgeous wedding day. They are such a fun couple and their day was filled with lots of laughter and good times.

Cassie & Trent Engaged

Cassie and Trent are in the process of planning a wedding that sounds very very awesome.
Led by their wedding ideas they decided to bring a vintage Mercedes Benz for a spin out in the country. I think a little dust on such a sweet car was worth it for the photos!

Cassie and Trent make a super cute couple don’t you think? Here’s the car – cute huh? There isn’t much that is green out here at the moment and I almost wasn’t able to find this spot – I took us on quite a little adventure before finally finding it…glad I did though…Can’t wait for their wedding…

Cute couple and gorgeous light, Sheila! I bet the wedding is going to be awesome!

Oh Sheila, love the car and the vintage style shots

Sheila, these photos are beautiful. Love the gorgeous light.

Love, love, love this shoot!

Awesome photos in a beautiful location. Cassie, you look totally gorgeous!

Family

A few weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing one of my favourite teachers! Not only did Mrs Rabbitt teach me but she was my daughter’s Year 1 teacher! Little things like that are one of the great things of living in a small community like I do. When Kelli contacted me to have some photos taken with her mum and dad I was thrilled. Not only did I get to take photos for Mrs Rabbitt but I loved the Kelli was so keen to have photos with her mum and dad – I hope my girls want to do that with me when they are all grown up!

These are lovely photos Sheila, it’s nice to see the people I grew up with getting some happy snaps off you!

beautiful and kind of cool to go full circle photographing someone who was a figure in your up bringing!

What a great idea! Reminds me that I need to get some photos of us all as grown ups (lol) on our next family get together : )

I wish more ‘grown up kids’ would do this Sheila…photos like these are priceless. These are so lovely!
My daughter was taught by a couple of my old teachers too…it’s kinda uncanny! Teachers that last this long in the job must be truly passionate about their teaching so we are lucky to have them!

Beautiful work Shelia!

Danni & Ben’s Toowoomba Wedding

Danni and Ben had the mammoth task of planning and organising their wedding from their home base in London. We got to meet last Christmas holidays when they came home for a visit and we had their engagement shoot – how cute was that?

The wedding was in Toowoomba as that is Ben’s home town and the couple have lots of history tied to Toowoomba – but more on that later.

The boys got ready at Ben’s parents property whilst the girls were in town. The boys were ready on time – so much so they were rewarded with a nice cold beverage. The girls had a nice relaxed time getting ready too. When I saw Danni’s dress hanging I couldn’t wait to see it on. The dress came all the way from London and is a jawdropping, eyeball popping gown…as you will see in just a sec…

I wondered how she managed to get it here without incident but Danni said the air hostess were very accommodating. Here she is getting the gown on.And the bridesmaids all agreed that Danni was a stunning bride. The ceremony took place at the super sweet Preston Chapel.I just love the expressions on the bridesmaids faces here…I love the massive smiles here. The hugs with the grandparents are some of my favourite shots from when the couple is being congratulated. I’m usually so busy just capturing it I don’t get to hear what they say – but I’m certain they pass on some pearls of wisdom. Now I mentioned before the history the Danni and Ben have with Toowoomba, Ben obviously as he grew up in the area but Danni’s parents were married in Toowoomba and they decided they wanted to replicate some photos of Danni’s parents and their bridal party that were taken at Queens Park with the canon. We had to shoo away some small children to get the shots but I think it was totally worth it. I loved seeing the older wedding photos and I love that Danni and Ben now have their own version of the canon photos. With the main formalities of the day being over it was time for some champagne for the ladies and some beers for the boys.Danni looks so amazing. I adore the shoulder ruffle on her gown. She nicknamed it ‘the slug’ – which is an altogether too ugly name for such a beautiful dress.Queen’s Park was absolutely gorgeous and the light was amazing – we were there just at the right time.Danni and Ben had a big but very awesome bridal party and I have to say they were a fantastic group of people, I had a blast spending the day with them. Some super cute couple shots.I love love love this one….
One one last photo – I think it might be my fav of the day – but that is a big call….

Congratulations Danni and Ben. It was an amazing wedding day and it was a pleasure to photograph and document your day. Hope you had a fantastic time in Greece.

Kimberley & Todd + Kids

Kimberley and Todd are getting married very soon at the gorgeous Kooroomba Winery. I can’t wait for their wedding! It’s going to be gorgeous. A few weeks back they came out to the countryside near me for their engagement session and they brought with them Todd’s cute kiddos. It was a glorious winter afternoon. We’d planned a shoot with lots of beanies and scarves – we were going for the whole winter woolie look. The day turned about surprisingly warm. Beanies were abandoned and everyone enjoyed the sunshine and warmth. Gotta go with flow!
